Well, that was an evening well spend. Ukraine's Ruslana, who looks like Xena and Mad Max's lovebaby and sings and dances like a shaman on speed, won the Eurovision song contest. Well deserved, actually, in my humble opinion. Of course the whole Eurovision song contest is both an anachronism and a total farce when it comes to who gets whose votes, but it's also kind of heartening to see this kind of thing happening across so many countries. I don't agree it's war by any other name, but that call for papers certainly needs some publicity. Anyway... must be really weird thing watch for non-Europeans.

Since MT-Blacklist inexplicably stopped working I had no other recourse than close comments and trackbacks to stop the spam. I've been meaning to correct this for quite a while, but life got in the way... in a good way I should add.
