This website looks much better in a web standards compliant browser. The reason you are reading this message is probably because you visit this site with an old, non-standards compliant browser.
It's probably a good idea to update your browser. Visit the Web Standards Project for more information on web standards and which browsers support them.
Although you're missing out on the fabulous ;-) design of this website, all the content should still be accessible, whatever browser you use.
Welcome to the Cyberculture, Identity and Gender Resources. These pages are in a sense a side-effect of my research on role-playing MUDs, identity and the performance of gender. Since I'm not a very organised person by nature I originally compiled these pages to keep track of all the books, articles and websites I came across. Sitting on all those references I figured there probably would be two or three other interested people out there, so I put everything online.
The whole point of these resources is that they are constantly evolving, growing, so some parts may not be there at all, or may consists of just one link or article... you have been warned! I have divided these resources into several sections, hopefully making the information a little more accessible. Of course, as with all categorization the boundaries are somewhat arbitrary but at least it's better than just dumping everything straight from the bookmarks page in here.
The Fragments blog tracks the changes that happen in these resources (along with providing some less topical comments) so if you want to know what I have been up to lately, check out the blog.
Enjoy the data fest; if you have any comments or suggestions, please send me an e-mail by clicking on the link below.
